Taiwan's 3G mobile Internet reaches an average download speed of 6.27Mbps and upload speed of 1.08Mbps, according to NCC's (National Communications Commission) survey released on March 4. In the 22 surveyed cities and counties, Taiwan Mobile registers the highest average download speed in the majority of areas while Far Eastone leads in the average upload speed. 3G technology remains the major mobile technology used to access the Internet in Taiwan. As of the end of January 2015, Taiwan has 22.9 million 3G subscribers, 4.02 million 4G users, and 2.28 million 2G users, said NCC.
